Sofitel Moorea Ia Ora Beach Resort is proud to celebrate French Polynesia’s culture by presenting every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights a unique Polynesian showcase of dining and celebrations at Pure restaurant.
The evening starts at 5 pm with a Tahitian cultural master class when guests can learn how to make the famous ‘poisson cru’ (our local ceviche), the multiple uses of coconut , how to wear a pareo or make a flower lei.
As the sun sets, guests are invited to the ‘fare utu utu’ (open air kitchen) where they watch the opening of the “ahimaa” (traditional Polynesian oven in the ground) and the presentation of the “ma’a Tahiti” (food slow cooked in the ground oven for hours).
Guests can then enjoy the meal at Pure restaurant while watching our great Polynesian dance show. Every Sunday, the Polynesian dance show is enhanced with a Fire dance performance
